Well, that was fun while it lasted, what a tease this summer was. I'm just glad it's football season and found out today that Lofa Tatupu is just out with a bruised knee - hallelujah!
So not really a whole lot been going on, Holly and I are putting the finishing touches on some painting projects and got a new sofa, plus we need to hang some curtains so I'll send some pics when we're done for your viewing pleasure.
I guess the big news is the DNC (Democratic National Convention) that's going on in Denver right now. Oddly, I've not followed it as closely as I'd like, but I've seen the movie already if you know what I mean. However I do have to say, I can't wait until George gets back on the short yellow bus back to Crawford, TX.
It is funny though watching McCain and the crowds he attracts vs. Obama. I'd say it's the equivalent of attending a Bingo game vs. a Rock Concert, "B-10"...."B-10". BINGO! Yeah!

They say being president ages you and if McCain wins, within the first year he is going to be looking like just like Gandalf hanging at the US/Mexico border saying, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS"

I didn't plan on getting political, but things are heating up and it's something to write about. Anyway, we're in with the brotha although it would be a stretch to say I'm in complete agreement with him. Ironically, if John McCain was the 2000 version it would be a tougher choice.
Okay, enough of the political stuff, that's for a different blog and no one wants to hear that stuff anyway. So what's on deck: Well, big day Friday, I am taking my bro-in-law J-Dawg (aka Jason) to the Raiders game Friday so that should be fun although it will be most of the scrubs playing but Qwest is Qwest baby and we'll enjoy it anyway. I'm still convinced some strange cult convinced him to be a Raiders fan, I mean that's the only reasonable explanation.
On Sat, my Pop is coming home and as a nice welcome home gift, I've asked him help me with a little home project. Dad, you are the best. It's not really major stuff, just hanging a mirror and a couple of curtain rods but I promised we'd feed him and stock up on Diet Cokes and mom we'll make sure he gets home at a decent hour.
That's it for now, until next time.
