I can't take it, I can't take it. There is a dark, omnious cloud that continually hangs over Seattle sports and I think I'm going to lose it. This Saturday, the Huskies lost to the WSU Cougars who are about as retarded as you can get when it comes to football so UW now holds the esteemed priviledge of being pretty much the worst team in college football. Oh, and by the way, the Seahawks lost again at home (now 1-5) and are a pathetic 2-9 for the year. I don't even know what it's like to win in sports anymore, but luckily the beer takes the pain away.
So I just started playing a new game, Little Big Planet for the PS3 and it is awesome. I haven't started making my own new worlds yet, but I plan on doing that once I get through the Story mode of the game. You should check this game out if you can: http://www.littlebigplanet.com/.
Thanksgiving is coming up and Deanna and Stephane are coming home which is great, but the Seahawks also play on Thanksgiving. I think it's some kind of torture because I have a feeling the Hawks offense will do nothing and when the Cowboys have a 3rd and 99 they will get a 100 yards! Seriously, I've never looked forward to another year starting so fast because I can't take any local sports right now, plus we can finally get that "special needs kid" out of the white house.
That's it folks, have a good night and we may be seeing you later this week!

Happy Veterans Day and Happy Bday Jim!
Hey gang,
Well, I am trying to keep my spirits up - all Seattle sports teams completely blow (I could care less about Wazzu), the weather sucks, I've packed on a few "EL-BEES" which is slang for lbs (or we would have also accepted pounds) but hey, we got the brother in the White House so all is not bad, do you think anyone would mind if he started early? (he he).
Although I have to admit that I'm currently listening to the Matt Lauer interview of Sarah Palin and I'm counting down her fifteen minutes. But hey, the silly season is over and enough politics, let's get down to blogging!
First of all: Happy Veterans day to all my family AND those serving over seas. You guys (and gals) are the greatest and you do something that I don't think I could ever do so you are appreciated and come home safe. Also, Happy B-day Jim! Unfortunately I got your voicemail but happy b-day bro!
I don't think I ever told you all that I FINALLY got my PS3 back and I've finished Dead Space - great ending and I'm now working on Resistance 3 - Fall of Man. I love this time of year, they have a TON of good games coming out. What's interesting is my old PS3 would get really hot in the back and I guess I figured that was slightly normal but this one is as cool as the other side of the pillow so I guess it finally just fried. They never did tell me what was wrong with it.
In other news, Holly is still obsessed with this movie Twilight that's based off the book series. She won't stop talking about it, she watching the movie clips over and over and she's tells me that I'll never be like Edward (he's the dreamy vampire protagonist). I told her that's good because I enjoy sunlight and I'm not a big fan of drinking blood, but I would be able to change in to a bat so I don't know. Anyway, I had to get her tickets for the show TODAY that doesn't even show until the 21st so when she picked me up, she didn't even say hi, she said "Where's my tickets". I just want her to watch this damn movie already because it's driving me nuts but at least it has opened up major gametime for me - that's a win-win!
I'm out, need to shower and kick some more alien bootay on Resistance - humans rule!

Election Night....
Well my friends, we witnessed a historic night tonight. I think regardless of who you voted for, it was pretty amazing to see our first black president elected and it is quite a significant event. I also thought John McCain's speech he gave tonight was great and I was actually a supporter of his back in 2000. I think he had to do what he had do and hopefully he can preserve some of his legacy because he really is an American hero and a patriot, and a decent man.
Although I will say I did not shed a tear now that Caribou Barbie is heading back to Alaska but I'm guessing Fox News will give her a show. Although I think they'll hang around and be sort of the political equivalent of Spencer and Heidi on the "Hills". In case you don't read US Weekly, Spencer and Heidi are this couple that everyone hates, yet they seem to still get a lot of publicity and they are so incredbily annoying. It's like a carwreck. You see it, but you just can't look away.
I'm just glad that we will have a president that can actually put sentences together and where the English language is not a challenge. And how about that diversity and enthusiasm at those McCain rallies huh? 500 white people in a hotel ballroom and Hank Willams Jr - woo hoo!
Barack IS the future of this country and you see it in the crowds. I could care less what his name is, he's smarter than most people period. And that's what this country needs, somebody with an actual BRAIN. Because when you have a brain you listen to all sides and you typically surround yourself with smart people and I do have high hopes for "that guy".
Holly and I celebrated tonight, I think we have made a huge step forward in this country (on many different levels), but to somehow think it's going to be easy is foolish. I think there are real challenges ahead, but I really do believe that Barack is the right guy for the job and I'm proud to say I voted for him. But talk is cheap and I want to see some action.
I'm out, only 76 days before we evict Dubya from the White House! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
