What's up everybody, sorry for the long delay but it's been a roughly quiet last couple of weeks for us but sad news for sure.
Last week, Tim Russert of Meet the press had a sudden heart attack and died, I was really sad to hear that. I don't know if many of you watched him on Sundays but he seemed like such a great guy, would ask tough questions, and just genuinely seemed to enjoy life so it was a big loss which I think was felt if you watched the funeral, you would have thought it was the Pope. I have to say though I was really impressed by his son Luke which I think is a big testament to Tim and his wife, that kid is definitely going to be successful. Goodbye Tim, you will be missed.
So today I also heard that George Carlin passed away at 71. I'm sorry but I don't think 71 is really what I consider old but so sad. I really liked him and the way he just gave it straight and let's face it the guy was just flat out hilarious. The hippy dippy weatherman here, tonights forecast a 100% chance of darkness - I love it! He also stuck it to organized religion, government, and commentary on just how stupid people can be. Therefore I think he was a bit of an acquired taste but I really enjoyed his standup, he certainly wasn't worried about being "PC" - RIP Mr. Carlin.
Ok, now that I've officially depressed everyone, on to brighter things. As you've noticed the weather appears to be taking a turn for the better so that's good. The new job is great and I AM LOVING IT! I'm starting to get a bit more comfortable with everything but as soon as I think I got something down, I get humbled all over again. I also just played MGS 4 (Metal Gear Solid) for the PS3 and that game was AWESOME! I think in the next week or so I should have some updated pics for you. We are re-doing our second bathroom. Not really a remodel, rather more cosmetic changes, new lighting, paint, accessories, etc.

Ok, it's June Right?
Seriously, this weather just effen sucks!! I'm really starting to get irritated, I thought it was global warming, shouldn't it be unusually warm right now? Anyway, I just had to say something because I know a lot of people are getting sick of it.

So I had yet another encounter with a Seahawk today, my man Leroy Hill who is a linebacker for the hawks (see picture below). I was coming home earlier this morning and I saw a guy out walking his dog. At first I didn't recognize who he was, but I did a double take and knew it was him. I quickly parked my car and yelled out and he came over and we chatted for about 10 mins. He actually lives in our development and has for about a year but I hadn't seen him before. It was really great, we were just talking football and other stuff. He was really cool and hopefully I'll bump into him again. I guess I just have a knack for running into these guys, but they've all been great. Go Hawks!!!

So we were supposed to go to a friends house for a little "bee bee queue" but their little guy got sick so Holly and I are probably just going to do a bit of cleaning and we have a painting project. I spoke to Jimmy and my dad earlier and apparently the boys enjoyed a day of shopping which concluded with Jimmy busting my dad's blister, exciting stuff!
That's it, I'm out.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
Hello folks and welcome to another installment of our blog. Pretty quiet weekend for us, more or less just picking up around the house and stuff although yesterday was fun (for me). So yesterday Holly took me out to go shopping for new work clothes. I would say it's the adult equivalent of buying your kids school clothes for school, so naturally I will be wearing all my new stuff all next week just like I did when I was a kid. It was actually odd to have my arms full of shopping bags and Holly didn't have anything but we were out for me but I'm sure she will be returning to the mall for herself sometime in the near future. When Holly shops for/with me it's very different when she shops for herself. With me, it's very methodical and efficient. She basically grabs a few things that she think will look good, I try them on and it's thumbs up or thumbs down and we move on to the next store. It's actually kind of a fun game in a way to see how fast we can do it. When she shops for herself it's a very slow process that can drag on forever but that's just how it works. Anyway, I got a ton of cool stuff and I just want to say that I think my wife is great and I appreciate all of her help and being patient with me.
So I finally hooked up my little web cam we got for Christmas from Don and Barb and it's a ton of fun! I'm actually upset I didn't hook it up earlier. So if you have messenger, our email is johnandholl@comcast.net so just add us and we can use the video cam with messenger. We're about to head out to get some cleaning supplies and then some food so that's it for now.
