Workin' Out

Well, today was a great day for Holl and I... we finally got our butts to the gym! It was really great to see some of the trainers and some of the other people there. It's a relatively small gym but everyone knows each other and it's never an issue with waiting which is great. I got a little flak from some of the folks there but I guess that was to be expected. Unfortunately the gym is a little out of the way for us and they are building a Gold's Gym insanely close to us so it will be a little sad to leave but the Gold's still won't be finished for several months. Actually one of the women that had trained there is Tanji Johnson who is also known "Stealth" on American Gladiators so it's been really fun to watch her on the show. It's funny because she always looks so tough and mean when they introduce her, but she was always so bubbly and nice, although her ab class would kick your butt.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you, I'm sure some of you are trying to get back into working out again, I think starting back up is the hardest part so if you did that give yourself a pat on the back.

Until next time,

Artic blast and an end to football

Hello all,

Well up here on Mt. Crumpit, we were once again stuck in the snow so Holly and I had a snow day. I spent about an hour or so shoveling a little path and also helped out a couple of folks get up the hill, it was basically a sheet of ice. It's so frustrating where we live because usually the main road is fine, but we have a sharp incline that goes for about 30 feet or so it's just a sheet of ice with packed in snow but we were able to get the TT out on the top area where the sand trucks go so hopefully we can get back to work tomorrow.

It's also the end of the football season for us as the Seahawks dropped a really poor performance to the Packers. In some way I guess I am relieved because I think their losses affect my health, so I'm kind of ready to get back to some level of normalcy but it will still be fun to watch some of the remaining games.

Well, that's it until next time.

New Year's Resolutions and Seahawk Football

Hello all,

Well so far Holly and I have done absolutely zero of our New Years resolutions, but I think that will change here soon. I guess we're still having a bit of a holiday hangover so we've gotten off to a slow start. I want to personally thank who ever thought of this great idea to have New Year's resolutions because it just adds to the stress but I guess I'll take whatever motivation I can get. Okay, now on to the good stuff...

Well as you know our beloved Seahawks (aka Birds of Prey) are playing the Green Bay Packers this Saturday and of course this week is just dragging on, Saturday can't get here soon enough! While I don't share the same confidence I had last week, I definitely think these guys have a shot but it will take their best game on the road. So with that, wish the Hawks the best and the 12th man will be rooting them from a far! GO HAWKS!!

I'll try to start sending some pics along with the blogs, I'm writing this from work plus there hasn't been too much exciting going on.

See ya, J&H&C

Happy New Year

Hello everyone,

Well 2008 is now officially upon us and we had a great holiday break. Unfortunately we had about as lame a New Year's as you can have. Holly was sick and I wasn't feeling great either so Holly went to bed early and I watched the non-fireworks at the Space Needle. Oh well, I guess there is always next year, but we're looking forward to a great 2008. Holly and I most likely will be doing the usual eat better, drink less, workout more, spend less, etc. resolutions for New Years so we're looking forward to that.

We had a really fun Christmas and it was great to have my brother Jimmy and his family in town but it went by too fast. Hopefully they can just move here and we won't have to worry about spending snippets of time here and there (hint, hint). I also wanted to give a major shoutout to my brother in-law Jason who made an incredibly delicious Christmas Eve meal and I think I gained at least 5lbs that night because we also had to eat at my in-laws later that night.

We also have a huge football game this weekend. The Seahawks play the Redskins Saturday and I'm looking forward to the game which Holly and I will be attending of course! We're really pumped for that and the 12th man will be there all the way so Go Hawks!

I hope everyone else had a good New Years and we'll talk to you later.
